Booking Terms

These are the terms and conditions that apply when you reserve a property with MyShortLets in the UK using digital channels.
You will be asked to confirm your acceptance of these terms and conditions when you make a reservation.
We reserve the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time, so please check them each time you make a reservation. The terms and conditions applying to your booking will be those in place on the date of your reservation.
Additional terms apply to the use of our digital channels, whether or not you make a booking. These terms are published on the relevant digital channel.

Any booking made by you shall be deemed to be an offer by you to rent the relevant property subject to these conditions. A contract between you and My Short Lets will only come into existence:If you are booking by telephone and an email confirmation has been sent to you.If your payment details have been accepted by My Short Lets.£200 minimum (or agreed fee) Accommodation holding fee has been paid by you. (This is not the security deposit.) My Short Lets will not rent any of its properties to anyone under the age of 18 years. The holding fee will be deducted from the balance due which should be paid prior to the key handover. Please note that should the balance due not be paid before key handover My Short Lets reserve the right to suspend or cancel the booking and the holding fee will be forfeited. My Short Lets is confirmation of your booking, this agreement must be signed by the person/persons named or the person authorised to do so, this applies to company bookings.

We require 30 days’ notice of any cancellations.

Please note that the tariff quoted at the time of booking can vary. Rent is to be paid 14 days prior to your arrival, for longer-term clients 30 days in advance and then every 30 days until your termination date.

In the rare case that, due to unforeseen circumstances, we cannot deliver your requested accommodation, we reserve the right to replace that accommodation with an alternative of the same high standard. You would be notified immediately.

A security deposit may be taken to cover additional charges including breakages, damages and additional cleaning required (only in severe cases) during your stay. In the case where credit card details have been given to cover the one week’s deposit My Short Lets after notifying you of the damage or soiling of furnishings the amount would be deducted from your credit/debit card.

Properties are available from 4 p.m. on the day of arrival to 10 a.m. on the day of departure. Any additional hours of occupation outside the available times will be charged £25 per hour or part thereof.

All My Short Lets properties have a NO SMOKING POLICY. No pets of any description are allowed in any of our properties, bicycles are to be kept in the gardens where possible. My Short Lets reserves the right to enter the properties at any reasonable time for cleaning or repair, alternative arrangements can be made. 

The resident undertakes to keep the property and all furniture, fixtures and effects in the same state of repair and condition as at the commencement of the period and to pay My Short Lets the value of any part of the property its furnishing and contents that have been damaged. Breakages must be reported as soon as possible The visitor or any other member must not use the property or allow its use for any dangerous, offensive, noisy, illegal, or immoral activities, or carry on there any acts that may be a nuisance or annoyance to My Short Lets neighbours. My Short Lets reserve the right to cancel any booking to be effective without refund if a guest’s behaviour is causing a nuisance or disruption to fellow guests or uses threatening or abusive behaviour towards staff or neighbours in any way or manner. The guest/guests should live in an orderly fashion.

Although My Short Lets make every effort to ensure their residents enjoy a peaceful stay we cannot guarantee or be held responsible for any failure or interruption of services to the properties or any other building as a whole, including electricity, air conditioning, water or any damage, telephone, broadband, internet and other communications, disruption or noise caused as a result of repair works being carried out in another property or part of the building. However, upon notification from you, My Short Lets will make every effort to rectify this within a reasonable time and restore all services and issues where possible.

My Short Lets reserve the right to change these conditions from time to time.

Any information collected by us i.e. credit/debit card, home address, will be destroyed when the guest leaves the accommodation.

The fact that My Short Lets does not exercise any of its rights under this agreement in any particular instance or breach or default by the visitor shall not constitute a waiver by My Short Lets of such right of any instance.

Any notice to be served on the visitor under the agreement may be given during the period of stay and will be delivered by hand and left in the apartment/property.

If any provision of this agreement is held by any competent authority to be invalid or unenforceable in whole or part then the validity of the other provisions and the remainder of the provision in question shall not be affected.

The agreement is for the period of the stay as outlined and signed by the guest in our Accommodation Agreement, which does not form a tenancy agreement The visitor shall not be entitled to a Tenancy Agreement or any shorthold Tenancy agreement. Or assured tenancy agreement or any statutory protection under the Housing Act 1988 or any other security of Tenure now or upon the termination of the Accommodation Agreement.

The construction liberty and performance of the Accommodation Agreement shall be governed by the Law of England and Wales and both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of England and Wales irrespective of any claim, dispute or difference concerning these conditions and any matter arising from them.

Changes to this policy

Our privacy policy may change, update or be altered from time to time. Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page. You should check this page occasionally to ensure you are happy with any changes. We may also notify you of changes to our privacy policy by email.
